Ibara no Himegimi Oneshot: High School reunion…. actually, this one was hard for me to translate. It really felt all over the place. Truth to tell, the only part I feel pretty confident in was the sex scene (lol), so for what it’s worth, here’s my two cents: Girl likes boy, but plays “hard to get” saying she’s saving herself for marriage. Boy’s all like “I got the key to your chastity belt and imma gonna use it.” batta-bing-batta-bang. Happy ending!

After School, Last Part: Atsushi has already graduated (?) and is off job-hunting while Nozomi decides to take on a tutoring job as his behest to disastrous consequences.

This is the last chapter for Renai Metro. I’ve included the mangaka’s postscript that includes a “bonus” storyline. Also, there are 2 oneshots that were included in this tankoubon and I will release them as soon as I finish them.

Renai Metro tells the love story of two college students, Atsushi and Nozomi. The story begins as Nozomi is forced to interact with Atsushi as he commandeers her into breaking up the relationship of Shusuke (her first love) and Moe (Atsushi’s sister). Suffice it to say, things don’t go smoothly.

A couple of things to note. I kept the terms aneki and onee-san in the manga instead of translating them to just older sister as I believe that the subtle difference in meaning is important. There is no english equivalent for this subtle difference.

Update: Renai Metro / Julia is Crazy

Hey everyone. Sorry for the delays. Long story short, life got in the way along with my Mac dying, but all is well now and I should hopefully be spewing forth a bunch of chapters for you all in the next week. Chapters that should be available soon are the rest of the Renai Metro Volume 3 tankoubon (this includes the oneshots) as well as a chapter of Julia is Crazy. My initial scans were horrible for all of these so I’m rescanning them at a better resolution. Once that’s done, I have to clean them and then input all the text back in. Please be patient as I’m the only one doing all the work, but it will get done.

Why Michi can’t ask the guy himself is beyond me. It’s all very juvenile in an adult world or maybe this a cultural thing… being indirect like that. Anyway, that’s my two cents worth!

I’ll be upfront and let you all know that I’ve only read the first chapter so I can’t really give a synopsis of the story, just the chapter. So here goes…!

Chapter 1: Sachi befriends Julia at one of his photoshoots while he’s in college. At another  of Sachi’s photoshoots, Julia, who follows Sachi like a dog, is spotted and becomes a supermodel while Sachi doesn’t. Instead, Sachi becomes a working adult within the same industry. This is probably the set-up chapter for the rest of the series. I know, I know, my summary is lacking, but I love OUGI’s artwork so I’m giving this a shot and so should you!

Please note, I only have the first volume and, according to bakaupdates, there are 3 volumes so if anyone knows where I can get the other 2 volumes, please let me know. The other 2 volumes were not at my bookstore.

From this point forward, I’m tagging these kinds of stories as josei and deleting the smut tab as I find the smut tab misleading. As far as I’m concerned, having sex within josei stories is normal as josei is for adults. I think of smut more along the lines of hentai and seeing as I have yet to translate one of those, smut is just going to become a dead, lonely tab. As for yaoi, I’m just dropping everything under its rainbow banner if it involves relationships between men.
